Many Agile teams agree to a set of conditions that need to be true for a work item, for them to consider that work item “ready” to be worked on. The Definition of Ready (DoR) is designed to protect the team from starting high-risk or unclear work. The Definition of Ready most often addresses areas that the team needs to understand to implement and validate the work item.
